Cataract-induced Blindness

Cataracts impair vision in over 100 million people, and cause complete blindness in 20 million. Cataracts are completely treatable. We purchase MiLoop devices for small-incision cataract surgery and support efforts to train local doctors in Tanzania, Ethiopia, India and dozens of other countries. We also offer our investors the opportunity to visit treatment and training centers in India and Tanzania to see the powerful results their investments are enabling.

River Blindness

Onchocerciasis (River Blindness) is a debilitating condition affecting more than 20 million people in sub-Saharan Africa. Thanks to a new medication, moxidectin, there is hope for eradication. We support Medicines Development for Global Health by providing funding to deliver moxidectin to some of the poorest countries in the world to treat onchocerciasis.
